Yesterday Greg and I woke up and did all the things we normally do on a weekday … a little work, meals, daily chores. As the day wore on, I switched a load of laundry from the washer into the dryer.
Late afternoon, we decided to head out for a stroll through the neighborhood. On the way out, we walked past the laundry room and I remembered the dryer. I asked if he was OK with a quick diversion so we grabbed the contents of the dryer and headed to the bedroom … with our freshly cleaned sheets.
As we made the bed, it occurred to me, I am grateful for freshly cleaned sheets. I mean, who doesn’t love the feeling of crisp, tight, soft, sweet-smelling sheets when they crawl into bed at night?
We zipped on the fitted sheet, lined up the top sheet, threw on the blanket and quilt and … voila … a bed freshly made and ready for a good night’s sleep.
It’s something to be grateful for. It is easy to be filled with joy over a well-made, cozy bed.
There’s a whole world out there just waiting to be explored. Be comfy and well-rested.
