I’m having a lot of fun sharing my year of gratitude, but I admit, it warms my heart when a post inspires a reader.
A neighbor envies my pantry and my organization skills. She saw my recent post and called me. “Can you help me with my pantry? I want mine to look like yours.”
This particular neighbor quickly became my best friend when we moved into the same neighborhood, so it was easy to say yes. My response was something like, “when do you want to get started?”
We hopped into her SUV and headed to the Container Store where we wandered the aisles lustfully and filled not one, but TWO carts with jars, dividers and assorted items to create a dream pantry.
The next day we got to work. It took a couple of hours, but in the end, her pantry is a thing of beauty.
Her husband jokes that she will never be able to keep it looking that nice. I insist that once you get organized, it’s easy to keep things neat. I’ll try to remember to check back in a few months and let you know how she’s doing.
In the meantime, we poured a glass of celebratory wine to toast our joyful accomplishment.
I am grateful I can inspire others, especially when I can share in their joy.
There’s a whole world out there just waiting to be explored. Share your joy.

As a “hider” who hates clutter, I’m lucky to have someone so organized in my life, and greatly appreciate your willingness to help others!
