Arizona, Gratitude and Joy

Day 154 – A Year of Gratitude and Joy – New Chairs

When we moved to Arizona we brought very little furniture. We wanted to replace our very East Coast look with a more western feel. We intended to blend mid-Century modern with cowboy chic. Early on we added some affordable chairs to our dining room.

Our original look feels mid-Century modern.

The theme carried into our bar where we’ve recently started to amp up the cowboy chic elements to try and capture a more Arizona feel.

We call this style mid-Century cowboy chic.

Early last month, we were popping in and out of some of our favorite shops in Cave Creek, Arizona and we came across some chairs that caught our eye. They were counter height, so I asked if they could be ordered as regular table chairs. Betsy checked the computer and smiled … yes, we could place the order for shorter chairs.

I can always find something to add to my home at Big Bronco.

The exceptional staff at Big Bronco warned us about delivery times being longer than normal. That warning seems to be a pretty standard thing these days. We expected eight to 12 weeks. Five weeks later we got the call that the chairs had arrived. We headed to the store to pick them up.

We managed to get all six chairs, still in the boxes, into the SUV.

Luckily, we managed to solve the puzzle of fitting six chairs into the SUV. Our dining room is transformed. It’s amazing how just a few chairs can make such a big difference.

The new look is much more cowboy with its rugged wood and leather-covered seats.

There’s a whole world out there just waiting to be explored. Let your evolving tastes be your guide!
