We had friends over for dinner the other night. That’s a regular thing for us. It’s casual, but we try to put out a little appy so everyone can nibble and chat while we finish the meal. The next day, I opened the fridge to figure out what to have for lunch and realized I am grateful for leftover party food.
I grabbed some of the cheese, meat and olives and made a couple of lunch-sized, mini charcuterie plates. YUM! Yep, I am grateful for party leftovers!
It’s been awhile since we’ve had pizza, but who hasn’t grabbed a cold slice the morning after a party and savored the flavor for breakfast?
It’s the sweets, too. Don’t you just love a piece of leftover cake? Or the ease of grabbing a cookie or two throughout the day?

Too often dinner leftovers are relegated to a forgotten container in the fridge, ignored until someone saves the container and discards the fuzzy remains of a meal. But party food brings joy. It always seems to find its way, bite-by-bite, snack-by-snack into the mouths of hungry fridge pirates.
There’s a whole world out there just waiting to be explored. Remember to grab a snack for the road.
