We chatted easily and shared a homemade meal to kick off the year. As the shadows lengthened, we headed home, leaving the others to continue the celebration.

Rain brings much needed water to the aquifers, feeds the native plants offering food and shelter to all manner of desert wildlife, and offers a chance to enjoy the wonderful sounds that only come with a downpour.

I can replace a faucet, swap out an outlet, install a ceiling fan (usually) … but when I need a plumber or an electrician, you better believe I’m calling in a pro.

Not everyone experiences the fun and frivolity of red ... I feel glee. It evokes thoughts of festivity and excitement.

Choices
Life is all about choices. I tell people that all the time. Happiness is a choice. Love is a choice. You can choose to enjoy the ride or grumble through it, but having done both, I can assure you enjoying it is a lot more fun!
Everything Old is New Again
Burns was worth the trip … for the beauty and charm of the town, for the stunning example of reusing an old building rather than tearing it down, and for the perfect place to meet up with friends.
